Happy 239th Birthday to the United States of America. I hope that everyone enjoys their holiday. I’m going to a 4th of July parade in Northampton today. There are not may places left that exhibit the sense of community that this neighborhood shows. There will be antique cars, kids with decorated bikes, families in golf carts, and the Spring VFD leads the parade with Uncle Sam atop their truck. It’s quite an event and after the parade everyone ends up at the park where the children get lemonade, popsicles, and a photo with Uncle Sam. It is a fun event that has been going on for about 40 years.
